Cat Care
ROOMS
The Royal Pets Hotel cattery represents a new ideal in cat care. The owners have had cats as companions for many years and they have had the cattery specially designed and purposely built in the loveliest of Ontario countryside to provide spacious, modern, delightful accommodation for cats. Cats have individual private rooms, with their own adjacent, enclosed patios for exercise in the summer months.
The
accent is on heating in the winter months, when pets benefit from the
thermostatically-controlled heaters provided in each room. In Summer, the air is
kept cool by means of a sophisticated air-flow system, coupled with the
advantages of an exceptionally well insulated building. All rooms have
comfortable beds and bedding is provided if owners do not supply their own.
Rooms are decorated to a high standard and tiled throughout.
HYGIENE
It is accepted that cats are probably the cleanest of
domestic animals and are very careful with their personal hygiene: we assist by
being meticulous in the daily cleaning of his/her temporary home. Rooms and play
areas are maintained to the standards of the most discriminating cat. Pets
suffering from, or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious
disease cannot be accepted. All cats will be examined on arrival.
CARE AND ATTENTION
The environment your pet has been accustomed to will obviously be the best for
him/her, so each room has controlled heating to suit individual needs. We have
insulated the cattery to guard against heat in summer, and cold in winter. Music
is played 24 hours a day throughout the cattery. Each cat is treated as an
individual at The Royal Pets Hotel, and care is taken to ensure each pet remains
happy.
FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT
Each room has a hatch connecting the inside with the individual outside play
areas. In addition, to cater to the cat who likes to observe the outside world
from the comfort of inside, we have provided a maple-wood sunning shelf adjacent
to the window in each room for that purpose. Although as much freedom as
practicable has been allowed, we are still very concerned with security:
consequently, there are safety corridors adjacent to outside play-areas and
locks on all doors, both inside and outside the building.
FOOD
All cats are fed as individual guests, and our wish is to feed your cat the same
food as he or she would have at home. Adult cats are fed twice daily--kittens
and old cats according to their special needs. All feeding requirements must be
notified at the time of booking accommodation to ensure that boarders quickly
settle down to a happy life while in our care.
KITCHEN
Our guests' food is prepared in a modern, clean kitchen. We stock eight popular brands of dry food, together with a variety of canned food.
LAUNDRY SERVICE
Laundry service is available to our guests, ensuring that bedding is changed and kept clean at all times.
STAFF
All employees working at
the Royal Pets Hotel have been carefully selected having regard to their
experience in the loving care of animals, and are then trained to adhere to the
meticulous standards set by the management.
